HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and HM Treasury (HMT) have launched a consultation to gather evidence and invite views on off-payroll working in the private sector and the potential action the government may take to tackle non-compliance with the off-payroll working rules for workers in the private sector. These rules are commonly known as IR35 and apply to off-payroll workers who operate through a personal services company ("PSC").
DAC Beachcroft is therefore keen to use this opportunity to gather evidence and views from which, in turn, may help to shape the government's approach to reforming off-payroll working in the private sector. To assist, we have prepared a short survey, accessible in the link below. It should not take longer than 10 minutes to complete.
The deadline to respond to the consultation is 10 August 2018 and, therefore, we should be grateful to receive your views, if you would like to share them, by Tuesday 7 August so that we have time to collate them. You may wish to nominate one person to respond on behalf of your organisation.
